    Contenuti

    L’obiettivo del corso di Pediatria è quello di fornire agli studenti sia le conoscenze di base utili ad attuare interventi clinico-assistenziali inerenti alle principali patologie dell’età evolutiva che le principali competenze per individuare problematiche di tipo specialistico.

    Obiettivi formativi

    Lo studente, al termine del corso, deve acquisire le informazioni utili per: valutare le condizioni di normalità, nutrizione e patologia del neonato individuando le condizioni che richiedono l' intervento dello specialista; valutare le normali fasi di sviluppo fisico e cognitivo nel bambino e dell’ adolescente sano; riconoscere i fabbisogni generali di cura per il bambino malato, le principali patologie congenite ad estrinsecazione clinica precoce e tardiva e le più frequenti malattie croniche, le principali malattie intercorrenti ivi comprese le malattie infettive tipiche dell' infanzia e dell’ adolescenza; riconoscere la patologia del bambino e dell' adolescente che richiedano interventi da parte di specialisti del settore.

    Programma del corso

    Introduzione alla pediatria; principi di auxologia; principi di neonatologia, classificazione del neonato, assistenza in sala parto, APGAR, fenomeni fisiologici, riflessi neonatali, neonato a termine sano, ittero neonatale, screening neonatali allattamento materno ed artificiale, vaccinazioni e malattie esantematiche, dolore e febbre, infezioni delle vie respiratorie, interpretazione dell’esame emocromocitometrico in pediatria, ematuria, infezioni delle vie urinarie, sindrome nefrosica, ipertensione arteriosa, patologie gastroenteriche.

    Course objectives

    The objective of the course
    The objective of the course is to provide students with both basic knowledge useful for implementing clinical-assistance interventions inherent to the main pathologies of the developmental age and the main competences for identifying specialized problems.
    At the end of the course, the student must acquire useful information for:
    • assess the conditions of normality, nutrition and pathology of the newborn identifying the conditions that require the intervention of the specialist;
    • assess the normal phases of physical and cognitive development in children and healthy adolescents;
    • recognize the general care needs for the sick child, the main congenital diseases with early and late clinical manifestation and the most frequent chronic diseases, the main diseases including infectious diseases typical of childhood and adolescence;
    • recognize the pathology of children and adolescents that require interventions by specialists in the sector.
